Warm for winter

When Christmas shopping in Westfield earlier this week I bumped into a beaut blanket cape in River Island. While the style caught my eye and captured my heart, I felt that the geometric material they used for it didn't suit the garment. For me, it was too loud, distracting from its other stunning attributes. I felt that the style of the wrap would better suit a more plain design, as its shape alone is enough to turn heads. Once home I, of course, searched endlessly online for similar items that had a better design. Somehow I ended up on M+S, whose winter collection is particularly lovely. Really! Here I found the perfect cape. Its fur lining dresses up the plain black material and its shaping gives it the greatest little swing. In addition to this and its exceptional warmth is the touch of the hood, which makes it even more appropriate for the approaching winter months. I was so happy to find too that its length is just right. I feared that, being 'one size only' and me being tiny, it would be far too long. However, it delivered in every aspect - this included!

While searching for this I was distracted by Topshop's winter accessories. Here, I spotted the cutest set of mittens my eyes have ever addressed. The shade of brown is most apt for the season and the faux fur material is ideal in keeping my hands toasty. I fell further in love when I noticed the paw detail on the palms of the mittens. Adorable!

my 2 favourite finds in a long time are pictured here...

1 - 'faux fur paw mittens' by Topshop for £20
2 - 'faux fur hooded wrap' by M+S for £49.50

In order to stay on Santa's nice list I've promised my mum these will be my last buys until after the Christmas holiday. Because of this I've invested some time into creating my Christmas list for her to take on, tehe! I'll be posting this soon.
